Pro event entry priority

1. 01Signed Players & PairsPlayers on a PPA contract, and pairs where both players are contracted, enter the main draw first. Entry priority within this group is based on PPA Points in that category. Any signed player who does not make the main draw is guaranteed a place in qualifying.
2. 02Pairs with One Contracted PlayerIn doubles and mixed doubles, a pair with one PPA-contracted player has a stronger chance of direct main-draw entry than a pair where neither player is contracted. Entry priority for these pairs is based on the contracted player's PPA Points in that category.
3. 03Unsigned Players & PairsUnsigned players and pairs are usually required to play a qualifying round to enter the main draw. Qualifying is typically seeded by PPA Points (World Pickleball Ranking), then DUPR. If an event has no qualifying round, unsigned teams are seeded by DUPR after the signed players, so the draw reflects playing strength as accurately as possible.

There is no fixed entry threshold. How many main-draw spots remain for unsigned pairs depends on how many PPA-contracted players register in that category and how big the draw is. Pairs where neither player holds a PPA contract should expect to compete in the qualifying round.
